I have this intake going on my 402 and was wondering if anyone has used this intake and the coil type choke? It doesn't seem to bolt up like the original cast iron intake. I'm I missing something simple or what? I'm also using the Holley spreadbore carb. Thanks for any help!

I think it is just the BB large oval port Performer manifold. But it may be the peanut port Performer one, I don't know for sure??

If it is like the SB Performer you may need to get a little casting that bolts on it where the choke stove hole can be drilled so that the choke coil will mount level???

Hope this helps. pdq67

PDQ67,
The intake I have does have a small plate with 2 socket headed capscrews holding it on. I guess I could call Edelbrock and see what they have to say. I just thought that as popular as these intakes are that someone might have figured this one out.

Thanks
Scott

I've used one on mine and everything bolted up fine (I've got the original quadrajet). The only modification I had to do is make a longer linkage from the choke thermo-coil to the choke plate out of coat hanger.
