Hi to all,
I want to convert my 66 chevelle to disc brakes. I am starting from scratch. Want to use stock parts. Anyone have a list of all of the stock parts I will need along with assembly instructions or a guide. So far I have the spindles and backing plates from a 69 chevelle. Any info would be much appreciated.

I have done many disc brake conversion at my job. that link posted isnt entirely accurate, they show spindles that have caliper brackets casted on, you wont have that

the only things you wont be able to get at your local autozone are the caliper brackets and the metering block(which you need if you plan on using the stock distribution block on the frame, another option is to replace the stock distribution block with a new style proportioning valve. If you dont address this, you wont get fluid to the rear brakes).

apparently the metering block is now called a Hold off Valve:

caliper brackets:

everything else is available at autozone, which is actually pretty cheap (rotors, bearings, calipers, pads, brake hoses, booster, master cylinder)

for even cheaper, order from rockauto.com
