I am considering converting to front discs. I see rotors that bolt to existing spindles that I assume would be much easier to install than replacing the spindles. I see they are 11" rather than 13" and move the wheels out 7/16" I have 14" wheels. Any one have these installed what are your experiences. Is braking much improved and is the 7/16" off set a problem?

it's not that hard to swap spindles. do some searches here, there is a ton of info about disc brake swaps. depends on your budget, mechanical ability, and desired end result. lots of different ways to go.

With 14" wheels you may encounter a problem with most brake kits. In some cases the 7/16 offset can cause the tire to rub the wheel well lip at the top.

I recently installed Power Disc brakes from Bear on the front of My 65 Chevelle. Big improvement over drums. Best upgrade I did. The kit I got fit inside my 14 rims. I dont like the big wheels. The brakes I got didnt have the rotors. I got 1969 or 1970 Chevelle rotors from the local Auto store. Cant remember exact year. Everthing worked out. They fit on the spindles. Other companys do make kits that fit inside 14 inch Wheels. jemoore24
