I looked at a 1968 ss 396 fully documented car last night . the alternator was mounted on the drivers side where it should be but the alternator was in front of the bracket and the bolt came from the rear of thr bracket through the bracket and into the alternator . Is this normal ? As far as I have ever seen the alternator is behind the bracket and the bolt goes through the bracket from the front of the car into the alternator . Am I correct or did someone put this on wrong ?
