feedphillipnow Mar 2nd, 05, 6:14 PM I ordered some of the reccomended parts for my PS setup, there GM brackets, new, The cradle is easy to figure out but the 2 top brackets where it slides I cant figure out how they go on. Any pics or tips would be great.
Chevy 70 SS vert Mar 2nd, 05, 10:06 PM If you will educate me on how to post them on this forum I will post some photo's.
feedphillipnow Mar 2nd, 05, 11:25 PM Go to Photobucket.com they have free space, you load your photos there, then there will be 3 different image codes, for html and whatnot, the one that says IMG, etc etc. Use that one! Email me if you get mixed up, photobucket is cool though.

feedphillipnow Mar 4th, 05, 1:16 AM If you guys have any pics of P/S setups (upper section/sliders) you can email them to me smile.gif pnutkemist@yahoo.com
I know Photobucket really well, but the showroom ive never really used before. If you just want to load your pics into your showroom space I dont think youd need to use photobucket, thats just a place to host your pics if so if you want those pictures on a message board and whatnot.
Chevy 70 SS vert Mar 4th, 05, 7:35 PM hopefully these are what you need if not email me! The top ones are an L78 car, bottom 2 are off of a truck BB.
feedphillipnow Mar 4th, 05, 7:48 PM Ohhh pictures, great. I had a feeling it went that way, The bolt that mounts the slider to the waterpump, WHAT in the heck size is it? Ive tried many different size bolts and nothing fits 3/8, 7/16, 9/16 none of those fit. Its the stock WP. Pics Look good though! You have one slider bracket? When I ordered mine it came with 2, both the same exact, the guy at GM said they come like that. Are they both used?
dittoz Mar 5th, 05, 10:43 AM Hey Phil;
I'm just hitting this same stage...
Isn't the bracket for the 350 the same as a BBC?
Or is it a whole 'nuther critter?

feedphillipnow Mar 5th, 05, 3:42 PM Hey Curt! Im pretty sure the brackets are the same. They moved out when the small block did though smile.gif A few things I should have pulled. Our BBC builds are a little similar too, cant go wrong with the air gap and 30 over =) Are those 215 heads the open or closed chamber? I remember you were shopping for heads not too long back.
Did anyone know the bolt size for that slider bracket? The one on the water pump.
dittoz Mar 7th, 05, 10:02 AM Closed chamber, ported and polished from O'velle in 'Vegas...
Schweeeet!
Chevy 70 SS vert Mar 9th, 05, 10:28 PM I will measure my bolt tomorrow night and let you know. Its a monster! I think the head size is 13/16". The only brackets used, are the bottom bracket that attaches the whole assembly to the block via 2 large bolts (5/8" heads) and one regular bolt on the side of the engine. Then the bracket shown above, attached to the pump, attaches itself to the water pump for belt variances. 2 brackets total. I am not sure about BB versus SB compatibilty.

jakeshoe Mar 10th, 05, 3:52 AM BBC and SBC are two totally differenat animals as far as PS brackets go...
Pumps will interchange, brackets will not.
Chevy 70 SS vert Mar 10th, 05, 11:44 AM The large bolt is about 1/2" in diameter, attaching the pump bracket to the water pump(slider).
I agree with jakeshoe the pumps interchange as that is what I did, with mine. Took the small block pump, took the brackets off, cleaned the pump, powedercoated it, reinstalled on the BB with my BB brackets.
