Just got my block back from the machine shop where it was bored and had cam bearings installed. I noticed that the holes in the cam bearings are not lined up with the holes going to the main bearings. Is this correct? or can the oil holes in the cam bearings be facing any direction? (1oclock, 12oclock,7oclock, etc) The engine in question is a 76 350 SBC.

Bungy,
That is correct. The holes actually should be at around 2-3 oclock...looking from the front with the engine in the car. The front bearing has 2 holes, we usually put them around 10 and 2 oclock.
Hope this helps,
