I received an email from OPG on Wednesday that they are now reproducing convertible well moldings. Typically originals are very hard to find and I know I've heard of a lot of guys trying to find these.

I just wonder how the fit and finish is on these new repro pieces. Anyway, FWIW, if any one is looking for this molding, you may want to check out OPG. And if you do, please be sure to post your findings regarding the quality and fit.

Dana, What's wrong with your original mouldings?

The well molding has been available from a lot of vendors for quite a time. I don't know who makes them since my originals are in good shape. Now the molding above the windshield is another story. As far as I know it is not available.

Just got the new OPGI book in the mail this week and they now offer that particular molding for the vert.

I just looked in their new catalog. $65!!! Those Chinese are good. It cost me twice that to get mine polished and the dents taken out. I replaced the lower windshield molding because mine was in really bad shape but the replacement is closer in thickness to stainless foil than it is to the original.

I will be ordering one this week , I just bought one from a local supplier which I will be returning . It said " corvex " on the wrapper , made in taiwan. Hopefully the one from opg will fit good . I will post my findings . JOHN
