Hope you all don't mind me making a post here.
I've been wanting to do an EFI conversion for a long time and finally just did it.
We installed the Holley Avenger TBI system. Trying to decide which system to buy and install was almost more work than the actual install.
Anyway, here are some of the reasons that I selected the Avenger.
The main reason was for all of the great information in this thread started by Vince.

Another reason for me was the 'self learning' feature which was huge. I found DougF's comments interesting. Because I'm not afraid of computers but I don't know enough about tuning an engine. This feature was another big selling point.
I also wanted all the components to come together in one complete kit, and that's what we got.
With the TBI version of the kit, Holley doesn't include the connector for computer controlled timing of the distributor. Which doesn't make any sense to me. So I did have to order that one extra piece and got it through Summit. That part is included with the MPFI kit but not the TBI kit.
Anyway, I figure if a non-mechanic type of person like me can install this kit and have it actually start on the very first turn of the key, then anyone can do it.
Here's are a few pics. Thanks for putting out all the good information.
