I come to this site because I have a 1965 El Camino. I come here to learn how to upgrade, improve, restore, make faster more efficient, and any other improvements I can learn about.....why are questions about "pimping an El Camino, or the price of heating oil, or is blue better than pink ? all stupid questions that belong on some other interest forum. They should be reponded with "sorry that is NOT an automotive question or answer"
Please don't chase me away to some other automotive website, we have too many sharp, informed experienced people here that can help us all. Please don't allow meaningless crap on a automotive forum....please !

All those topics are found in the bench racing forum,which is not related to the tech forums.I for one happen to really like bench racing,all cars all the time gets pretty boring.Lighten up a little and enjoy .:thumbsup:

X2 No doubt...chill out. Bench racing is for posting anything related to current events, general non car topics etc.

If you are on the home page and see the most recent posts on the right, those can come from any section. so if there is something there that does not tingle your dingle then don't click on it.

Maybe because Team Chevelle is like a big family sitting around the Sunday dinner table. We talk about all kinds of stuff, mostly automotive. Sometimes topics get off track or non-automotive discussions sprout up. You get to pick and choose which topics or forums you visit or comment on. Or you can stay away from those you deem of non interest. Young guys, old guys, happy guys, grumpy guys, it's all here. Your call, but the entertainment aspect is always there as well as the factual or technical info too. It's all good here Gary.

There are many topics posted in bench racing because some people spend all day (Gary w/ a Pacifica:waving:) on this site. It keeps it interesting. Besides the last time I was at my buddies house, we talked about everything from cars to politics. Just normal friend conversations, which is like Chevelles.com.

Please pick which forum you post in carefully. If you're looking for a suspension mod to lower your elky, then go to "suspensions". Same for "Engine" and "wheels/tires". Bench racing is like setting around the garage with a few beers chatting with buds-almost anything goes. And I'm not even bringing up "CE" :)

I agree with the posts above ,many friends here .Its not always about our cars ,sometimes its even asking or offering prayers for others . We are a family ,just a little far spread.

Easy there Yank...the 64 elky has Chevelle on the front fender and the 68 has "Malibu" on the front fender. Several, including my 69 has "Malibu" on the dash above the glove box and on the door panels. :D :D
