Does anyone know what size injectors are used in a 502 Ram Jet? GMPP #17090919
Thanks for any input!

these are from delphi, when we try to get spec's on them they usually say "they're designed for the application, you don't need to know the lbs" and nothing more...... i think i have the spec's written done at work, but it won't be until monday before i'm back in..... I will check then..... but if my memory is right (yeah, right) it was 31-35 lbs.
BTW Dave, gary is not w/ gmpp anymore.... sorry day for us there when he left for something else (appx 2 months ago), we'll miss the information that was available to us because it seems like he was one of the only ones who gave a S**T about the analysts that have to answer the questions..... and he was a heck of a nice guy too..... gm's loss for sure.

Holy cow..... I knew he was racing, but what a loss for GM.......... I guess all things change.

Thanks for checking! I am planning some upgrades and hate to change the injectors if their large enough. Thanks again.

What are you planning to do? Its so hard finding ramjet owners, let alone those who modify them. Check sallee chevrolet, I got them to create a ramjet forum for us!

I have yet to experience any problems with the electronics... The only thing I have seen is the motor breaking things because its so strong! No issues yet. Just keep the fluids topped off and let her rip as hard as you want all day long.
I grounded the ground wires to the transmission bolts at the back of the engine. I already had a new harness made for the old 454 which had HEI integrated in, I used the big HEI wire to run the switched 12 volts, and ran the big maxi fuse constant 12 volt off the starter wire so the wiring is hidden and mostly stock appearing. I hate patched together wiring, its aggravating and unsafe.
For all those that don't know, this engine comes with its own harness, and its fully labeled. You hook up power, switched power, ground, use your existing starter trigger, and thats all the wiring you have to do. The fuel pump wiring and all is integrated in to the engine harness. Very easy to install!!!!

I am goin to switch to a different computer that can be tweaked and that will utilize an 02 sensor. This way I can upgrade that tiny throttle body and cam. I will also be able get all that clutter out from under the upper plenum by putting the ECU in the car. I already have the computer for my trans under the dash. I too, would like to talk to someone that has modified this package. I hate trial and error.

You must have the MEFI3. I got the MEFI4, which is funny as it wasn't even mentioned in any of the sales literature yet. It was a nice surprise to open up the crate and find the oxygen sensor and everything already there!
Are you gonna do a street and performance upgrade? How about integrating the trans and engine computers for just one PCM?
A 4L80E conversion would be nice, but we did the swap on a tight budget and already had a turbo 400 that works. Even with a 3.08 gear, its still not comparable to a modern car for cruising at ultra low RPM at high speed. It does way better than the 3.70 it replaced though.

I would really like to combine the two computers. If I can do that without refinancing the house, I would. I am just now finishing the resto and have not driven it much. Send Me an e-mail and let me know how yours runs. Did you have hood clearance problems?
