Ok we have decided to change the cam, lifters and pushrods in my neighbore chevelle. Any tips ideas or info would be greatly appreciated

lots of research on type of cam ie your expectations. do you want hydralic, solid or roller lifters. there's tons of information in this forum and when you develop an idea post it with particulars on your car. ie displacement, transmission, rear end, heads, manifold, exhuast and weight of your car. i'm just a little ahead of you in this process. there's lots to consider. have fun.. ;)

Yeah, you've opened up a huge can of worms.

I think the main thing to consider is what RPM range you want your car to mainly run in. Then decide on the cam based on your compression ratio (that's if you don't plan on changing that), torque converter (if you don't plan on changing that either), and everything that John recommended.
