Why you asking? I do know they have two different frames. The power top frame which is what I have and has some more linkages for it all to work. The none power is a simpler design.

Far as I know, scissors tops were Corvair and '71 to '76 B-body only.

My top is not power im not sure what a "scissor" top is, i have nothing to compare it to but if you post a pic of a power top ill tell you if its the same... Or i may post a pic of it later if you like, my car is a 68.

On a regular top, the arms on each side fold up over and under themselves (if that makes sense), left stacks on left, and right stacks on right, and the top bows connect the sides and hold the top.

On a scissors top, the arms fold inward toward the middle, and overlap each other as the top goes down, and the rear arms split in half - the inside half goes toward the middle of the car and the outside half goes backwards.

The conventional tops are hydraulically actuated by a pump behind the seat and two cylinders under the quarter windows. When they're not power-operated, large springs take the place of the cylinders. The scissors tops are actuated by an electric motor behind the seat, with shaft-drive cables from the motors to gears in the quarters.
