i just installed the weather stripping for the doors.the instructions said that the one with the red pin is for driver side and the green pin for passenger side. i did this ,but the door does not close all the way.is this normal for new installs?it has been 6 days already with little progress. does the climent have anything to do with how fast it seets?

Nothing like a fews days in the hot sun to cure what ails your El Camino. You might try using a hair drier to heat the weatherstrips but that may take longer than you like.
