I just finished putting together a new 454 with a Turbo 400 behind it. The first test drive resulted in the trany not upshifting after second gear? I put 11 qts inside and reads full when warm. Any ideas guys.

Is your linkage adjusted properly? If "D" on the shifter is "2" on the tranny you're never gonna see 3rd gear.

While you're at it you might check the kickdown switch and wiring, if it's on all the time you'll be cruising right along before you see 3rd.

Check the vacuum lines to the modulator, make sure they are tight and not leaking.
