: What would a 66 Impala wagon be worth...

I drove by a 66 Impala wagon a couple miles from my house today. It is stock looking, aside for some rally wheels. Seats look rough enuff to be covered with a blanket to just hold the springs in.

It has 327 badges (didn't pop the hood or anything) stock dash, wheel, column shifter, faded door panels, headliner & carpet. Rear cargo area is heavily sun-bleached & cracked.

Body is solid & straigh enuff, but looks like original paint is oxidizing, and a few spots have been prepped with white-tinted primer. All chrome is there and looks ok, kinda dull with lotsa small scratches.

I haven't called to look at it, but was kinda wondering what the ball park price could be. I think it had X46,000 (where X=1,2,3...) miles on it. Under side looks to have been undercoated a long time ago.

Doubt the wife would me want to divert attention away from my 70 Malibu, but I like the looks of this wagon.... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

If anyone wants to call, the number is 937-882-6264 in Donnelsville, Ohio on state route 40. But ya gotta send me mail and let me know what ya find.

Wagons are hot, but you may have a tough time finding resto parts for the pack section like flip up seat and the side panels or for that matter the long headliner (is it two piece ?)

Nevertheless, if you have the place to store it, you could get it for a song and when you have time plug some time and $$ into it.

Hi-Po wagons at the track are too cool.

Okay, got a response from the owner. Rebuilt engine less than 5k on it. Rebuilt front end, brake lines, etc..327 v8.

Wants $4800 firm. Kinda expected it to be high, but not that high. Oh well.
