Hey guys, I primed my engine today. I made a priming tool from an old distributor and put a gauge in the block near the oil filter. The engine is a BB with new main, cam, and rod bearings. I got about 53 psi with a 1/2" drill going full speed. Does that press. sound about right? Thanks

Sounds great, I got about 40# on my SB.

It depends on what kind of oil pump your running, I have a High volume pump. When I primmed mine at full speed it was about 80 psi.

I'm useing a standard volume pump and 10w-40 oil.
