Hey all,

I just finished installing the American Thunder 2.5 inch dual exhaust system on my 71. I ordered the kit mainly for performance reasons, because my Velle still had the old 2 inch crimp bent system from the 307, way too small for my 400 SBC. It was a PITA to install it alone and under jackstands. But hey, after hearing the system I have to say the sound alone was well worth it! WOW! graemlins/thumbsup.gif graemlins/hurray.gif It sounds grrrreat! Very low and mellow tone at idle. Almost sounds like a big block now. Wicked!
I'll try to record and post it for you.

I'm looking forward to seeing what it does for my performance,

Laters,

Yeees of course it ain't a big block, but I'm happy with the way my mouse sounds now. A huuuge difference to the 2 inch exhaust and flowtechs. Finally it sounds like a musclecar, not like your everyday Blazer.

Ollie, big block or small block-don't matter..the Flowmaster system is great graemlins/beers.gif

One of my 442 convertibles had a 2" system on it when I bought it years ago..talk about choking!

Congratulation Olli,
I was thinking about the same system, but I was worrying about our laws here in Germany.
I went with a Gardner Exhaust system. Canīt wait to install the engine on my chassis and hear the system.
I guess itīs not as noisy as yours, but it surely has a nice sound either.
