Anyone ever use this head gasket?
I'm putting some 67cc chambered World S/R heads on my "Target" 350 crate engine, in place of it's original 76cc heads. I know this will give me some more compression, but I want more, so that's why I'm considering the .015 gasket. Which is described as a steel shim,

Any suggestions?

First of all, 'sup wit all the 1/2 naked chicks and where did the big block go? ;) But seriously, to answer your question, I would only use that .015 gasket if my heads were new(which it sounds like they are) and my block was freshly decked and smooth as glass. It might be a way to increase the compression, but that's a really thin gasket.
That's my 2 cents.

Sometime in 1988 I took a bunch of HP out of my 327
( on purpose ).I reassembled it (both heads and block were surfaced ) with some McCord .015 stainless head gaskets.Pistons were .019 down the hole plus the .015 gave plenty of deck clearence.I drove the **** out of it for the next 10 years and never had any problems with them. But I agree with Mike in that both surfaces should be flat.

I put these gaskets on my 350 over a year ago. It's a daily driver and I've had no trouble with it.
My block wasn't decked. Piston to deck heights vary from .020 to .023. So my quench is from .035 to .038. The gasket seals it just fine with somewhere between 10.2:1 and 10.5:1 compression. The dynamic compression ratio is just a smidgeon over 8:1.
I did spray some Permatex red gasket sealer on these gaskets before assembly.
I'm well pleased with the results.

This engine isn't for the Camaro.
It's for a '59 Brookwood we're building. It's a land barge, so I'm trying to get a little more power out of this 350.
The engine has about 1000 miles on it, and so do the heads. So I'm assuming they're still straight. I think I'll try the thin head gasket, and hope for the best.
Thanks for the advice.
I used these on my 350 when I changed cams in Jan 2000. The motor had 6k miles on it at the time. I've since put 15k miles on the motor with this .015 thick gasket and haven't had a problem yet. I put it on straight from the packaging without any additional adhesives.

I just ordered a pair of these gaskets yesterday. I remember reading good things about them on different forums and now that my "cheap" steel shim's are leaking im trying these gaskets.
