Guys I hope you can help me out again, how much do you think a rebuilt (not radical, but strong) 454, 10-bolt rearend and a 4-speed tranny would go for on ebay, or maybe even here in town. I am looking to buy a car with the items listed above but have no need for them (except the 4-speed but I already have one) because they are to big for a daily driver back and forth to college 45 miles a way 3-4 times a week. Hope ya'll can give me some insight.

Ryan if you need them their worth would be 1500-2000. If you dont need then about 800-1000. IMHO

ryan,
Not trying to be a smart-a-- here but you would probably do yourself a real big favor if you would pick up a small, corn-popper, commuter car while you are in School.
Then as time goes on, pick up the car of your dreams when funds get better after you finish school!!
I say this b/c you really can't get good gas mileage out of our cars for commuting purposes!! I know b/c I've been there, done that..
Sure you can add road gears and tall tires and a little-bitty cam and carb. setup and even spend a lot of money for an OD tranny, but it still won't perform right or get really good gas mileage like a corn-popper will!!
But please do what you feel led to do b/c it's your call.

PS., By the time you figure out it is eating you alive for gas, it will be too late.. I commuted 80 miles a day in my car the year I last drove it back in '86 and it was getting right at 15mpg with my 406 SB!! That's when I bought my '87 Chevy Sprint ER 3-banger, corn-popper that got 50mpg at 65 and 70 mph!!

I'd agree with Milan...
Maybe $1500-$2000 IF someone needs them, and/or there are some good aftermarket pieces...
10-bolt itself isn't worth much unless its a posi, and then, still not worth much (maybe $200-$300 if posi)...
Trans, used Muncie maybe worth $300-$400... Saginaw much less...
"Strong" 454, $800-$1000... How strong? Hows the quality on the rebuild? good parts or unknown? Good builder or unknown? If you are buying the car, then I'd assume the true builder is unknown (maybe it was thrown together just to sell, etc)...
To get top-dollar, be sure to sell it BEFORE removing it from the car. If the buyer can hear/feel it run, then you might get a decent price. Otherwise, might only be considered a core...
