I have a 70 SS396 with a 1966 engine and air condition. The belt was slipping on the A/C compressor and I noticed that the A/C belt was actually routed under the 2 groove water pump pulley.
I think that I can go 1 of 2 ways:
1) Change the water pump pulley to a single groove and route the A/C belt under the water pump.
2) Buy a larger belt and have it connect to the crank, water pump (inner groove), A/C compressor and power steering.
What is the recommended approach?
Thanks
