i have now rebuild my Chevelle for second time and hopefully it will be ready some day.

whole story starts from late 2005 when i did buy this 71- malibu convertible. in this condition i did drive it only inside the garage .. got
305+th350 and 10bolt rearend with drum brakes all corners.. who calls these muscle cars?

to jump on the story i will cut some corners to 2008 ,
i bought a 12bolt rear end from my friend and we did install moser c-clip eliminators and axels with hothkiss suspension parts and dics brakes all corners.
.got powerglide on it with transbrake and 509cid world production engine with procharger DS1C and water injection.
did have 688hp and it went nice 11.5s/124mh with that setup..
true dailydriver and great fun. but that just wasnt enought :thumbsup:

next step was get some more power and problems :beers:
i got 632cid big block that did make 768hp on dyno now with PG got gear vendors overdrive + i bought air suspension to the car+ tubular rearend links.
lot of problems on summer 2009 but it ran fair 11.2s .. well this wasnt what i was looking for

but last update was i did "downdate" part of the front end to 70model.

Wow thats a wicked car, looks like it's come quite a long ways! Good call on the front end, I love the 70 front end the best.

Just a quick question, did you buy a kit to relocate your alternator to fit the procharger, or was it a custom job? Im just wondering because i have a 68 chevelle with a 427 and i am looking into a F1R or F2.

Alternator comes to passinger side and the Procharger to the drivers side... F1r or F2 is the way to go ! the DS1C was to small to bigger big block..
it really easy to instal the procharger but there is few thing you need to take care.. right kind of fuel pump + regulator+ fuel lines and good blowtrucarb like CSU.

heh ... im coming to that shorly :hurray:

in 2009 i wasnt that happy with the car no more.. in those few years the paint job started to look not that good ... i wanted to redun the whole car ones more.:beers: idea always sounds good but the labor is huige as we all know.
first we soda plast the body and sand plas the main frame.. we wanted to try to do it right way this time so what we found under the paint we wanted to replace it with new parts. for this nice car it did have quite lot of rust and some crach marks to fix.

we started with the this. we did cut it half and add one 0.15 " plate on inside the frame to make it stiffer and still have the orginal look. and we update the suspension from Ride tech air suspension + big brakes.

we did all the fixing under the car but we wanted to make shure that the one who paints the car will do the exterior body work.

next step was to it take to my Friends Jani & Tanja paint shop who the chaince the some of the body parts like rear fender and door panels.

now we are in situation that some of the boby has got some color ! Lambo Orange will be the color.

Proline 5500 + Gearvendors overdrive and retrotek paddleshifter ready to take the higher power levels !!! This combination can handle up to 2500hp so my up coming power level should be peanuts ;)

Nice cars and quite a collection you have there. Now I know why my friend is having such a hard time finding a decent old car, they've all been shipped to Finland.
