I have 64 El Camino with 65 283 motor and 4 spd transmission. The current carb is Rochester 2 Jet. What is the replacement carb for this setup and is it a direct replacement? The current setup has manual linkage not cable. What modification have to be made. I do not want to change the manifold. This car is used as a daily driver. I think Holley makes a two barrel that will replace the Rochester, but I'm pretty sure there are two different sizes of Chevy carbs on this. The base sizes are different on later models. I don't know the dates but I've seen both. Something to look for. tom
