I was assembling my 454 last week and got a little over aggressive on applying the assembly lube (another rookie mistake). So, I applied it to the top of the lifters as well as both ends of the pushrods. Needless to say, it clogged the oil passages.
What's the best way to remove it. I've heard as long as I remove most of it, it shouldn't be an issue. The oil pressure and heat will clear it out. But, what if a few are clear and a few are not? Will the clear ones offering less resistance get all of the oil?
Anyway is there something safe I can clean them with or any recommendations? I was going to remove them the next day, when everything would have come off easier. But, I ran into other problems and didn't get to it.

You heard right...not an issue.

nn,
Assambly lube should not clog oil passages. We put it on everything that rubs/moves. I always put it on the ends of the pushrods, rocker balls etc.

I agree, if it moves then lube it.
