I have a rochester 4 bbl carb #7040202. I believe it is out of a 70 Chevelle. Does anyone know the correct application?

I have the 7040205 Carb on my 70 Velle SS.

if the last number ends in an odd number it's for a Manual Tranny, Even number is for an Auto Tranny.

Mine is MT 396/350 hp.

The 202 is supposed to be for a SB.

Yep, I looked in my Chevelle Service manual where it fits an application for a 350/300hp
