Sorry it's a Ford question but trying to help out a friend who I can't convert!

Are Holley carbs manufacturer specific or will a 3310-2 (4160) fit Ford or Chevy? He's having carb trouble with an Autolite carb on a 73 (429) motor and I have this rebuilt Holley that maybe we could throw on it and see if it resolves the issues.

Thanks for any help. I posted the same question over on the Ford Truck Enthusiats site and got no response. Just not as friendly and helpful as you guys!! Or, maybe it's just too dumb a question but here goes anyway.

With appropriate jetting/tuning, it'll work fine. The carb is too stupid to know what engine it's bolted to, so basically it doesn't care.

Verify the manifold bolt spacing is proper for the Holley carb, and you may need the Ford Kickdown linkage for the throttle lever.

Scott,it will work fine. You might need to get the Ford automatic transmission kick down bracket that bolts up to the carb where the throttle linkage hooks up.

If the bolt spacing is different, are adaptors made to make them fit? Summit or Jegs maybe?

His truck is a 4 speed so I guess we don't need the kickdown adaptor.

Thanks for the help.

Scott,if the Autolite is a square bore, the Holley will go right on.
