I'm just about ready to install the cam in my bb project and was wondering if I need to use a cam bushing or washer behind the cam sprocket. There wasn't one on the original cam and sprocket that I removed last night. I originally thought that those for for roller cams only, but I'm not really sure. Would someone set me straight here? Thanks.

If it's a flat tappet cam(not a roller), you don't need one.
