Anyone know the part number for this head gasket?
any special installation tricks?

Dwayne, if it is a small block (less than 4.125" bore)the gasket is #1094. This gasket has a rubber coating, therefore do not use any goop. Make sure the gasket surfaces are clean and dry and torque to the exact spec for your engine. The last 30 ft.lbs should be torqued in 10# increments. Make sure all threads are clean and put a very small amount of sealer/anti-seize around the threads about half way up.

Its 1094 Also if you have a freshly milled block deck and heads then just bolt em on and go, but if either of them arent perfect than buy some Napa Hi-Tack and give them a nice thick coating before installation.

Thanks guys,

The block is stock and still sitting in the car.

I'm doing a cam swap in a 79 Z28.
The heads are coming off for a little home porting and new springs. I will probably have em shaved down a little and use the thin gaskets to try to improve the compression a little.
