Is it really that bad to have 11" rotors with a 17" wheel? I'm planning on moving to aluminum wheels and dropping the overall diameter by about 2 to 3 inches. The lower diameter and rotational weight should make it a wash shouldn't it? All I ever get is that you "should" have bigger brakes for a bigger wheel. Either way, I'm changing over from drums, so anything will be an improvement, right?
