I have a '67 Chevelle SS convertible with drums all around. The drums were recently turned and I rebuilt the brakes and it all works great, for me. I have children (including a son) who will be coming of driving age in the next few years. Not that I intend to let anyone drive my car (including my wife). However, the reality is that they'll eventually wear me down like they always do and I can't bear the thought of them driving any car with non-power assisted breaks. I'm looking for recommendations on good disc brake conversion kits. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I put the Ground Up front disc conversion on my 66 last year. Kept it manual, and kept the rear drums. Also bought all new repro hard lines and flex hoses, and wheel cylinders.
Actually had to specially delete the booster, but otherwise it is the same kit. Included the prop valve, all the brackets, trinkets, etc. Fit perfectly, including the lines, and works great. Took some minor bending and reflares due to no booster. With a booster it would have been even easier to install. Highly recommended.

I bought a conversion kit from Right Stuff Detailing, including the Moraine booster. I was pleased with it.

Thanks all for the advice. Just didn't know if the "Ground Up" or East Coast Chevelle conversion kits were any good or if I needed to go with something more expensive like Baer brakes.
