I was looking at the high torque mini starters. Is there a difference in the kw ratings on them? Will a 2kw starter work or should I get a 3kw? I have a 72 402BB. Are they safe to use on daily drivers? My chevelle does have a 168 tooth flywheel, right? The flywheel is stock. Thanks for all of the answers that I am going to get.

I've never even noticed the kw ratings of starters. I just bought a high torque mini starter and put it on. Works mint. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Nothing wrong with them on a daily driver.

Tim.

I used a mini GM 454 van starter from 96 van. Fit great with my headers can even take it out with out droping the header. I have a 383 in a 65.
