I have a 72 350 chevelle. The air pump has been removed. What emmission stuff can we savely remove, and what would we have to do. I was going to put a 570 holley avenger carb and intake on and just wanted to know if anyone had anymore suggestions.

My cars all ran the same with or without the emissions equipment. One mistake I noticed is oulling out the emissions equipment in an attempt to gain horsepower. You must replace the "restrictive" emissions parts with non restrictive "performance" parts. for example, If you take out the air pump on a catalytic converted car, you will have a plugged cat in no time and loose your flow. NO benefit. Good luck :)
