Many years ago I purchased my 66SS with a 67 front clip. Twenty years later I am reassembling the correct front end and wonder if I have the correct bracket for the power steering reservoir.
The front mount of the bracket seems to fit over the radiator support but the side mount dosen't seem to fit the puzzle. It is very close to a hole in the fender that I have already used for the wiring harness clip.
My question is: Are the reservoirs the same from 66 to 67 or do I have the wrong one?

Its my understanding that the reservoir's are the same, but the brackets are different. On 66 & 67 the brackets unbolt from the reservoir. On 68's the bracket is welded to the reservoir. The 66 lids are smooth and look like the gas cap on a 62-66 chevrolet truck although i haven't verified that this will work. The 67 and 68 lids look more like a radiator cap and have embossed writing on them. The lids will interchange though. The 66 bracket uses one of the bolts in the front of the driver side fender - i think the one that also holds the core support to the fender and another bolt that screws into the core support from inside the engine compartment towrds the grill. My car did not have power steering, but the location for the hole in the core support was dempled anyway, so i suspect they all are. So i just drilled a hole in that location. However, i still had problems getting both of the bracket holes to line up at the same time. I figure something in the allignment of my front sheetmetal is a little out of alignment.
Reproduction brackets are available, but on the one i bought for another canister the two holes that bolt up to the canister did not match up with nuts on the GM canister. I did not buy this bracket from a national parts supplier though, so maybe theirs work.
