Looking for the track that would mount along the back seat that holds the end of the boot in place. Anyone know what it is called and where to get one. (new or used)...thanks

I know exactly what you mean.....I had to find one for my previous 69 convertible about 10 yrs ago. I don't know if it has any particular name other than "channel". Since it was 10 yrs ago, I can't remember if I found it on the classifieds here, or eBay, or wherever, but I know I found it used somewhere. It almost seems to me that they have begun reproducing them in the interim, but I wouldn't swear to that. If you have to find a used one, they are the same for all 68 - 72 GM A-body convertibles. Good luck!

Found it,,it is called a "Convertible Top Boot Slide Rail"

OPG has them,,,$100 bucks (ouch). 1964-72. Part No. CH26632. Or at Ground Up Part No. MTG-X3 1968-72 Chevelle…………ea. 79.95.
Also saw some on eBay

"The convertible top boot slide rail screws directly to the top of the back seat or the divider to anchor the top boot. Sliding the top boot into the rail allows the boot to stay secured. The rail is 43" long and is held in place by eight screws. "
