I took the 350 out of the above truck. I plan to put it in my 1972 Chevelle as it is a rebuilt engine. I will be putting the alternator, water pump, ps pump, starter, fuel pump, intake and carb, headers, motor mounts and all the brackets from the existing tired 350 on to the rebuilt 350. I do have 2 questions though:
1 - It should all just bolt on (assuming of course)but will the flex plate (flywheel) be the same?
2 - The harmonic balancer on the rebuilt engine is thicker than my stock original 350, what does that mean?
THANK YOU !!!

actually because its thicker it dampens vibrations over a larger surface allowing for dampening power if it did nothing...why wouldnt they all be uniform?

Just curious, was that 350 engine in your '86 Chevy p/u the original mill? I ordered an '86 Silverado 1/2 ton truck right from the local dealer, and a carbureted 305 V-8 was the largest engine available in a 1/2 ton K1500 4x4 pickup. I believe the 350's (with TBI) re-appeared again in '87. Swap is a no brainer....everything will fit. Good Luck!

Thank you for your responses. I was told to also check the torque converter bolt pattern to be sure they match which I will do as soon as I get the engine out of my Chevelle. The rebuilt 350 engine was actually a complete replacement for the original motor in the truck of which I am unaware of.
