I am thinking about ordering a new GM 350 crate engine from Pace. I'm trying to figure out how to get it into my garage. Pace said they will ship it to the Yellow Freight terminal nearest my house. Yellow Freight said they would load it onto a pickup truck. This may sound stupid, but, how do I unload it from pickup into my garage? Will an engine hoist reach high enough to unload it? Someone out there must have done something like this before.

BTW, the last time I did an engine swap was almost 30 years ago. Stay tuned - more stupid questions to follow.

Ya i think the hoist will work, depends on the hoist really.

Yep a standard engine hoist should work fine. I've unloaded SBC and BBC with one.
