I must have done something to my search settings but don't know how to fix.
Problem: When I do a search for something (on this site) I get the usual pages of search results. However, once I click on, or open, one of the search results and view it, and then try to go back and look at more search results, the screen goes back to the original search page. I have to again type in what I am looking for.
How do I fix this?
Try using the browser's back button and not the "Chevelle Tech > Team Chevelle > whatever" links at the top of the forum.

Mike the browser back button is what I've always used and has always worked till now. In the past, I used the browser back button and it would back up to the previous page and I could go to the next thread. Now the browser back button goes back to the page where you 1st fill in the search info.
What I am trying to explain is that I can do a search and it will pull up a list of related post. Problem is, I can only open one post before having to start the search over.

It appears the site is working correctly, may be a setting on your computer. A quick fix would be to open the links in a new window so the original search is still open.

What I do is right click on something I want to see and open it in a new tab, that way the original search results page does not change.
IF that's what you mean.

Bump.... still have the same problem. It's just on my home computer, not a site problem.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? :(

Windows XP or 7?
You MAY be opening each page as a new tab already??? It cannot go back to your original page as it is a separate tab??????

Levon, I have windows XP. This is something that just started a couple months back. When I use another computer somewhere else, it works fine. That's what led me to believe that I have somehow changed a setting on this home computer.
Thanks

Check your Internet Settings under "Tools"; "INTERNET Options" Tabs and see what they are set at. Mine are : Enable quick tabs, enable tab groups Open links from other programs in a new window..
I have also found that sometimes you have to "double click" the back arrow to get back to where I was.
Hope this helps.
Levon.
