I am re-assembling a front door (glass, tracks, regulator, etc.) that someone else took apart before I bought the car. Can some one tell me where these go? I am baffled, I have looked everywhere and cannot see where they fit?

I cant tell you where they go but have an idea what they are.They should rub against the glass I think to keep them from rattling.May help you find a spot for them.

those bracket are guides to keep the top of the glass hitting the top/inside of the door shell.they go on top/inside of the door.if you look close as the outside of the door shell bends in and then down.there are 4 screw holes,2 on left and 2 on the right,top inside of the door shell for these brackets.

Thank you, you have helped me solve the mystery, I had already installed the window felts, and that covered the holes for mounting of these plates. Once I removed a few screws, I could then see where the mounting holes were.
