: Wher to get BB engine mounts?

Will be putting a BBC in my Malibu car and I need to find Big Block engine mounts...NOT MOTOR MOUNTS. I need the mounts that attach to the cross-member.
Any help appreciated!

What you want are the engine frame stands NOT ENGINE MOUNTS. What engine is in the car now or was in it originally?

I put a 396 in mine and the car originally came with a 307 and I used the same perches. From what I found out the V8 perches are all the same. My perches are mounted to the holes most forward in the car.

Classic Muscle in Winston Salem, NC has what you need. I get most of my chevelle parts there. Give Mike Willeford a call at 800-722-4828.....Tell him Brad sent ya.

All V-8 perches are not the same. You can by using different mounts put a bb on sb perches and vice versa. Also 307 and 350 perches are different, so they use a different mount. Personally I have never changed the perches doing a conversion, just found mounts to fit. but if it is important to you to do so I think you'll need to find a used set as I haven't seen any reproductions or NOS.

Sorry Duff, I was on the post a long time so you posted at the same time.

Silver,
P/n's for the 350/454 frame mounts are 3980711,712. 307 frame mounts are 3980707,708. Do a search on this as there's alot of info on it.

yes the 307 mounts are different, so if you have a 307 car just put 307 engine mounts on the BB. If you have a 350 car put 350 mounts on the BB. Works either way, done it myself over and over. I am of course talking 68-72, I have no idea what year your car is.

Does any aftermarket company even make either solid motor mounts for 307 anchors?

What about poly-mounts for 307's in Chevelle's? Anyone make those?

If not it would be worth hunting down a set of 350+ (or bigger) anchors in order to get the proper motor mount for a high horse motor.

Cable,
The steel ones for 307 are moroso #62500, or 62560 (chrome)... If your looking for poly try to cross the OEM #3990914. 2 good links below that should help cross...

Is there any strength disadvanage going with the 307 anchors with a 600HP/600TQ 496 with solid or poly motor mounts?

Thanks.

I know BB pedestal brackets are narrower than SB for 64-67. OPG sells them for $100.00 pr.

68-72 SB/BB are the same.
