I am switching from a powerglide toa M-20 wide ratio 4 speed and was wondering what flywheels should i look for and what to avoid?

2.What kind of starter should i use because i heard their was one for teh autos and one for the sticks?

3.If u could tell me what cars or trucks i may find these in or any numbers that might help me out

thanks alot i have been asking all over town and no one really give me a good answer just points to someone else..

i did the swap a few months ago. you definity need to replace the starter w a manual trans starter. i brought mine to advance auto parts and got a rebuilt one for 35 bucks. your better off just gettin the rebuilt one from a discount auto parts store than tryin to find a used one.for the flywheel. i didnt want to deal w any bull so i just went big and bought a new billet flywheel from jegs. you could check out any machine shops to see if they have anything laying aroundif you get a used one make sure you get it resurfaced.you could get that done for about 30 to 40 bucks depending on the shop. either way you have to make sure you get the clutch and flywheel assembly balanced before you put it all together or else you might have a clutch chatter and that is a pain is the a$$. GOOD LUCK

if you do a search, you will probably find a mountain of info on this site, it has been addressed many times, including parts needed.

progress has little to do with speed, but lots to do with direction.
