I have a crate 350 H.O. from chevy. I just adjusted the the air fuel ratio at idle with the idle adjustment screws. When i am at idle and the car is moving and i punch it the car studders alot and alomost dies. But if i am at a decent RPM and punch it the car is fine. What is wrong? any help. This problem was happening before i adjusted the screws because i thought that was the problem buts its not. I have a holley 600 cfm carb.

Sounds like timing is off or accelerator pump is out. Just a thought.
Check timing and see if acc. pump is shooting gas in when you manually pull open the carb.

Sounds like the car can't handle the sudden rush of air from idle. My bet is on the accelerator pump, I had this problem before.

The further your into the throttle before punching it, the less of a air rush it is.

Good luck...
