Park by gate one. There is a restaurant in front of the gate cost is only $10.00. Gate will be after Carlisle Army Barracks. There is a gas station on the right. Make the right and go to the end and you will see the restaurant. Be there early because after 0800 traffick is backed up to the interstate. I always get there by 0600 from So. MD. They have some good home made breakfast not too expensive. I reccommend start at the hill and work your way down. At 4:00 pm head down to the Expo center and enjoy the auction. Remember it's 100 acres of land...be prepare to walk. Never pay asking price. If someone begins to talk about numbers and how rare it is...run Forest run, because you will find it better and cheaper a couple of isles down.

awesome, thanks Luis. this might be a stupid questions, but in terms of buying stuff, do sellers accept personal checks? or just cash?

Only the big vendors accept credit cards. Bring as much cash as yu can and avoid the ATM machines. They charge a fee. Another tip... Bring a wheeled cart. Even small parts get heavy after a while. I always start at the end of the field farthest from my car/gate and work my way back. The vendors close to the gates get picked over as soon as people start arriving. You'll also have a shorter distance to carry your parts at the end of the day. Wear comfortable shoes (Not Brand new) Bring water (Although you can buy it there). Haggle for the price you want, but don't insult the vendor. If you see a part that you've been looking for, for a long time, don't pass it up. You'll either forget where you saw it or it will already be gone when you return
Sorry to be so wordy, but these tips have been working for me for a long time. And most of all, Have Fun.

In the future if you need an item from either Ausley, Groung Up you make the order by phone and pick it up there to save on shipping charges. Check the buckets full of parts some times there is a treasure hidden there. Take business cards from vendors and those who provide special services. They are handy at times.

One other thing, If you are going to buy a lot of repro parts, try to buy them from one vendor. The larger the order, the more they are willing to talk discounts.

I'm hope to get a Chevelle project car at the car corral. I beleive the cars have to run. No trailered junk. This will be my first time to Carlisle. Looks like rain Friday and a nice weekend. I assume it will be muddy. Thanks for the above tips.
