I found a set of these and am intrested but am unsure if they will work as the backspacing is advertised as 6.6". Has anybody got any info that might enlighten me on this? These will go on a 71 SS 454 Convertable. Thanks

Sorry forgot to add these are 16x8 wheels.

16x8 with almost 7" of back spacing won't fit without the use of expensive adapters. I'm not sure but believe all you have room for is 5" - 5 1/2" of back spacing.

By the way the only 16" wheels to come off a 4th gen SS would be from a convertible. The coupes got 17x9 with 7" back spacing I believe.

I just tried to bolt up a set of 16x8's from a '94 F-body to the back of my '69 to use as temps during paint. Wheels cleared the shock mounts, but with 245-50/16, hit the frame.
