Can some one tell me where the blower motor resistor is on my non-AC 1970 chevelle? This car had some wiring issues. What is the "Little Fuse" box located on the wire channel on the center firewall? (engine bay side)
I think there were wires melted going into it. Thanks

On a NON AC car the resistor bank (2 resistors) are located on top of the heater box (inside) The plug has a light blue, an orange and a yellow wire.
If there is a factory inline fuse on an orange wire that runs in (or near) the wiring channel across the firewall ?
That's for the blower motor relay, but only on AC cars  So you have the wrong wiring harness or it was an AC car.

Thanks for the info on the resistors. About the fuse... It is pop-riveted to the wire channel on the firewall and it has 3 wire terminals coming out of it. It must have had a plug going into it. I know the car wasn't an AC car cause I have the build sheet and the wiring hasn't been replaced just kinda cut up.

Hey.. found problem! The "unknown" orange wire under the hood wasn't connected to the blower motor. Simple fix, but a pain in the ass when ur dealing with a new car with mystery wires that werent connected! Ha. Thanks again.

That sounds like a relay rather than a fuse.

TCS relay ?

Yep. Sounds like a TCS relay. But I'm confused about the "LittleFuse" relay. I don't recall the 70 using the LittleFuse style. That began in 71. But hey, it's been 40 years. Parts get swapped all the time.

You can just see a little white in line fuse holder on an orange wire in this pic. behind the air cleaner, against the firewall, next to the AC box.
It's for the high speed fan relay on AC equiped cars.
