I'm thinking getting a set of Boyd Smoothies for my 1972 El Camino. It sits basically stock so I'm going to go for a set 15". I'm thinking 15x7 which has a 3 3/4" backspacing. I want the wheels to fit in the wheel well with nothing sticking out or looking stupid. Will 3 3/4" get it done? This is not about stuffing the widest tire possible under the car ... I'm looking to put four tires of the same size (225/60ish) on the car.

Also I'm looking for a couple of upclose pictures of these wheels installed on something. Specifically how they look with the stock discs behind them.

Thanks everyone!

Brian. I am sorry that I can not send Pics. But for what it is worth I have them on my 1972 SS chevelle. And if I do not say so my self they look great!!!!! I have stock drums in rear and cross drilled Raybestos rotors in front. If you plan on puting any thing over a 245-60-15 on the rear I would suggest you get the 15x8 4.5BS. My set up is 15x7 3.75BS front with 245-60-15 and 15x8 4.5BS rear with 255-60-15 giving car .5 inch pitch forward. I think they look good with that stance. Good luck!
Gary.

Gary, did you go with white letter tires or black wall?

I'm thinking white letters
