Will 10 inch Weld Rims with a 2 inch offset fit a stock 67 Chevelle. If the answer is yes, what tires will work best as far as fit. Thanks!

I have 10" rallies with 275/60/15 TA's on my 67, that fit nicely in unmodified wheel wells. Not sure about the backspace, I believe they used to be on a Corvette.

GM never offered a 10" wide Rally wheel so what you most likely have are 15x8's.

usually a 5" backspace should work, I'm not sure if the clearance on a car is different from an El Camino, but we put a set of 295/50's on a 10" rim with 5" bs on a 66 El Camino and it fit just fine, just trimmed the inner lip a bit.

I guess everybody's interpretation of "fitting fine" is different but, to me, having to trim the lip implies "not fitting fine". IMO, if you are talking a "stock" suspension car, and you put a full load of people in the car and take a few trips over "normal" road conditions and make a few "normal" turns and there is no rubbing... then it fits "fine". Any variation from this, like adding air bags, trimming or folding lip, empty backseat, etc does not sound like a fine fit.

Not trying to start something here but it just sounded strange to me and others have said the "fit is good as long as the car is not full of people" in the past and that always caught me as a stange statement

Again, just my $.02

There certainly are 10" Rally Wheels available. Wheel Vintiques, among others, have made 10" wide Rally wheels for years.

Thanks Larry for confirming. Additionally, I have verified by measuring on the car just today. they are 10". Nicely fitting to me, in this installation, means simply no tire rub thanks to 3/4" clearance on inside and outside of tire section between wheel opening and frame/inner wheel well. Hope this clarifies my earlier statement. It would be interesting to find if "GM" provided 10" rallies as opposed to third party vendor.

A 10" rim will measure 11" from outside rim edge to outside rim edge. Is that what you found, ssixt?

I never said 10" Rallys weren't available. Of course they are available from the aftermarket.
GM never offered them though, even on a Corvette.

Thanks Clint44 for the additional info. My intention was never to discredit anyone. I am just after the facts, especially when I do not know them. Again thanks.

Sorry, missed the first sentance, I measured 10" outside rim edge to edge. I measured this through the wheel without the help of a straight edge laying on the rim. My measurement was not exact but it certainly was not 8". If I were to measure the bead seat I am sure I would not find 8" but rather something between 10" and 8", do you think this would still be considered 10" or something less? Or are we nit picking? Is the wheel width a measurement from the rim edge or bead seat? I am not 100% sure..

Outside rim edge to outside rim edge on a 10" rim would be 11". Wheel widths are measured inside bead to inside bead. Since your outside edge to outside edge was "something between 8 and 10" I would say outside edge was probably 9" and if you took the tire off and measured inside bead to inside bead you'd find you have an 8" rim which Clint has already stated.
