Where do I measure on my wheels (tires mounted) to determine what width I have?

With the tires mounted... my best advice would be to just drive to the closest tire shop.

If they have a balancing machine, then they have a large caliper used to measure wheel width. It will take 5 seconds.

If you can't make it to a tire shop for whatever reason, remove the wheel from the car. Put a straight edge on either side of the wheel inside the lip (not on the outer edge of the rim). Measure through the center hole in the wheel to the inside edge of each straight edge. Kind of a pain, but that'll get you the info you want.
