What size steels wheels were put on the 66 SS 396 cars. Some say 14 x 5 and some say 14 x 6.

14 x 6 if the car had a 396. This is true of El Caminos as well. The 7.75-14 tire was originally standard with the 396 for 1966. The 7.75 tire was offered optionally on non big-block cars and Elkys but only used the 14x5 wheel on those non big-block applications.

If is is an SS then 14x6 JK, non SS were 14X5
