I wish someone would make a chart to show which tire size and offsets to run on each year of chevelle for the guys that don't know much about the subject. I want to run 18x8's in the front and 18x9.5's in the rear of my 71 malibu. I need to know what offset and tire size I should use for front and back. Please help me out. Thanks
By the way, I'm running a stock 12 bolt rearend.

I'm not for sure on the front cuz I run 15x6's but my 15x10's fit with 5.5 backspacing and I would assume on your 9.5 in rim it would need to be the same. I have about 1.5-2 inches between my frame and my tire( 28x12.5 et streets)
hope that helps a little

On the front, get 18x8's w/4.5" backspace and on the rear, get the 18x9.5's with 5.25" or 5.5" backspace. As for tire suggestions, run a 255 on the front and a 275-295 on the rear. Post photos when you get them on the car.

So if I run 18x8 w/ 4.5 B.S. with a 255 tire up front and a 18x9.5 w/ 5.5 B.S. with a 295 tire in the rear, what series would I need? I won't have to modify the fender wells or anything right? And another question... is the 3 digit number the diameter in centimeters, and the series the tread width? I'm a little bit confuesed on that...

The first number is the width in MM
The second number is a % example the side wall is 40% as tall as the tire is wide (275/40) the measurment is made from the top of the tread to where the tire meets the wheel.

Ponyk... if i wanted a tire to have a big side wall (non low profile) would i want the % to be higher or lower? (Higher, right?) Thanks
