I saw a tool for figuring out what the backspacing will work for the tire you want, I have been looking for the tool but I can't find one. Does anyone know who makes one or what it called????

Thanks

I think it was called the mount mate...wheel mount mate..something like that. The company that made it is no longer in business.

MountMate (http://www.vpdsoftwheels.com/mountmate.html)

$499 is more than a little steep. Might be a good club purchase item if enough people chipped in?

I use a couple of piece of angle iron, the type with holes all along the way, from a home improvement store. One piece, length=wheel diameter attaches to brake hub. The other piece-wheel width attaches to the other piece like a tee. This is good to check clearance when turning, etc. If you can duplicate the cross section of the tire and add to this piece, great. If not, no big deal, guesstimate. It's cheap, adjustable, but it works.
