I have a chance to get some used M/T drag slicks. The wear marks on one of them has a few that are almost gone. Is there anything left worth mounting or should I pass on a good deal?

Usually people sell slicks when they start noticing a difference in performance (most of the time anyway).
If you are going to put them on a car that is not modified much and you just want to have a little fun at the track you will obviously see a difference at the track compared to radials.
But if your taking a decently modified car and looking to be consistant at the track I would recommend spending the extra money and buying a new set.
